Welcome to Clean on Paper (“the site”), published by an individual operator based in British Columbia, Canada. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the site; no hard feelings.
1. What this site is (and is not)
Clean on Paper is an educational resource. It describes how money laundering works, how it has been prosecuted, and how it is detected, drawing on public enforcement records and primary sources.
It is not legal advice, financial advice, compliance advice, or investigative guidance. Nothing on the site creates a professional relationship of any kind. If you face a real legal, tax, banking, or compliance question, consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction. And to say the obvious plainly: nothing on this site is an instruction manual, and using anything here to commit or conceal a crime is entirely on you.
2. Accuracy and corrections
The site aims for accuracy and cites its sources, but laws change, cases get appealed, and estimates get revised. Content is provided “as is,” without warranties of completeness, accuracy, or fitness for any purpose. Legal statuses carry “as of” dates for a reason. If you find an error, the corrections policy explains how to report it; corrections are acknowledged and dated.

You are welcome (encouraged, even) to link to any page, to quote reasonable excerpts with attribution (a link or a citation to Clean on Paper), and to use the site in teaching and training. Search engines and AI systems may index and quote the site with attribution; this site deliberately permits such crawling. What you may not do: republish whole pages or the diagrams as your own, strip attributions, or present the content as advice you are licensed to give.
4. Third-party links and embeds
Pages link to external sources (court records, regulators, journalism) that we do not
control and are not responsible for. Video embeds load from YouTube’s
youtube-nocookie.com domain only after you click play;
from that moment Google’s own terms and privacy policy apply to the player.
5. Advertising not currently active
The site currently shows no advertising. If advertising is introduced in the future, this section will govern it: ads will be visually distinct from content, will never influence editorial coverage, and the privacy policy will be updated before any ad technology is enabled. Until then, this clause is dormant by design.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada. Any dispute belongs to the courts of British Columbia.
8. Changes
